We were very satisfied by this beautiful and quaint chalet. The staff were absolutely wonderful before we arrived (they responded to requests for information I made by email promptly and were very helpful) and during our stay. The large showers with windows overlooking the valley and mountains are breathtaking. The rooms are also very cosy.

I recommend this chalet for skiiers. It is in the best location: Straight across the road from the train that takes you to the ski slopes!

I have stayed at Hotel Alpe Fleurie on and off for the last 40 years and every winter for the last 6 years. It enjoys one of the best, if not the best, location for skiers, being right opposite the train station to the ski pistes. The rooms over looking the valley have unbelieveably beautiful views with spacious balconies. The management of the hotel is efficient and friendly without being intrusive. I understand the excellent hotel restaurant is re-opening this winter after two years' closure.

Arrived rathe late and were offered a suite for a good price (chf 250 down from chf 360). Great room, large terrace, good bathroom, stairs to upper 2-bed room.

Stayed here four nights in August to get the special summer rate that saved 50Chf per night when staying at least four nights. The bathrooms had recently been enlarged and the new roomy showers included a shoulder height corner window that looked out at the Dents du Midi mountain. Our room also had a deck with two chaise lounges that shared the same amazing view. Be sure to book a room that looks out onto the Dents du Midi--some rooms face the main street of the town. Conveniently situated across the street from the rail station, Hotel Alpe Fleurie is Swiss hospitality at its best, managed by the third generation of its family owners. They speak great English and helped us select alpine walks and activities in the surronding area. Known foremost as a ski resort, Villars is a fabulous location for a taste of the summer Alps and provides easy access to Aigle, Lausanne, Montreux or even Geneva via the little cog train that connects Villars to Bex and adds it own special charm. We had a Swiss flexi saver rail pass that worked well for us and was a good value. We also rode the local buses for free either in conjunction with our train passes or the local Free Access card given to all hotel guests in Villars. The Glacier 3000 viewpoint is a must see on a clear day. You can see the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, Mt. Blanc, and other peaks near and far which surround you there.
