I'd kept my expectations low as a result of the various comments that the hotel was more of a two-star hotel than a four-star hotel. As a regular hotel user, I would now, after my stay, tactfully disagree with that analysis and can only assume that the different apartments are furnished to different standards. My apartment (a junior suite on the first floor) was furnished to a high standard. The pine furniture was a little worn in places but it was quality furniture (real wood not IKEA chipboard). The beds, sofas and windows were all modern. Importantly, the rooms were all spotlessly clean and the kitchen was equipped with modern appliances.
The entrance to the hotel is indeed a little difficult to find as the building faces away from the street from which it takes its address. The easiest way to find the entrance is to head down Route de Verbier Station and take the path to the right of the Denner supermarket. The location is indeed noisy at night in terms of drunken Brits, but this is true of all centrally located hotels.
The summer rate of CHF 75 per suite per night is vastly lower than the winter rate, so the "value" category below may not apply in winter.
