The hotel is being run by Inghams as a Club/Chalet hotel, so travelling mid December we knew that this would be their first week in the season with a new team. Having done this before, you expect a few glitches, but the price generally reflects that. But I have got to say the service and food were excellent. Quite a young team, but everybody was very keen and eager to please. The food and wine were good and plentiful.

The hotel itself is one of the oldest in Verbier, so our room and bathroom were fairly basic, but they had everything we needed. There was only one very small thing which let it down, and that was the boot room which wasn't heated enough, so boots were still damp in the morning.

The Hotel is right in the centre of the town, so I could imagine it could get noisy in the season, but it is ideally situated. The ski bus stops on the road just below the hotel, but the main lift is only a 5 minute walk in ski boots.

We had a fantastic holiday here.

We stayed at an Inghams chalet and went to the bar here for a quiz night. The drinks were cheap and atmosphere was good. Located on the central roundabout in town, it's easy enough to move onto other places as the night moves on.

The hotel is in the centre of verbier on the main square/roundabout. It is 50m from the ski bus stop (use this to go to the lifts, otherwise its a 10 minute uphill walk!). The hotel is run in winter by Inghams on a chalet board basis. The staff and food are good, but the furnishings could do with an update and the pillows were something to be seen! No 2 were alike and some looked like rejects from an Oxfam shop! The location means plenty of street noise, especially late night revellers retuning to their beds at closing time. If you're not out on the razz earplugs might be a good idea. We were woken up every night by it.

We stayed Feb mid term week at the Hotel de Verbier & I would echo what others have said. Excellent friendly Inghams staff made us feel most welcome and within a couple of days everyone had got to know each other which added to the cozy feel of the place.

Ingams rep Alice, Barman Andy, Tom and Anna the manager couldnt do enough to make our stay a happy one.

The rooms were more than adequate with towels changed midweek and rooms cleaned on request. Breakfast was a little basic at times but in the afternoon there was a plentiful supply of tea coffee cake etc.

Evening meals were at 7:30 round large tables in the dining room and although there was no choice (unless specially requested beforehand) every single meal was brilliant with wine and juice included.

The cash bar is the chaepest in Verbier and the atmosphere in the evenings was great

The hotel is in a noisy location and unfortunately Verbier attracts an awful lot of rowdy drunken behaviour when the night clubs empty so if you are a light sleeper take some earplugs

However a note f caution ...This is a value fo money establishment in an other wise overpriced and over rated ski resort - fine if you want to party all night, hope to see a celebrity type and queue all day for lifts - we have skied all over europe in the last 25 years and although we expected it to one of the most expensive, the prices this year were simply a rip off !

The skiing is very average and it gets much busier than any resort we have been to in recent years - we did a lot of off piste skiing but dont go unless you are an intermediate to advanced skier as many of the "itinery" runs that link the valleys are mogul runs.

Which is a shame because the hotel is great !
