“Recommended!”

Thanks to all the good people of trip advisor, who recommended this hotel. We just returned from an 11 day holiday at the Bristol and I totally agree.
Very friendly family run small hotel, who make you feel at home, very nice staff, who remember, what your family likes to eat and drink. Very good food, every day a different menue and always ready to change a course to personal wishes, We liked the breakfast, too.
The room was not too big, but bright, functional and clean. Every room has a balcony with unobstructed mountain view and due to the excellent location at the edge of the village, near the ski and snowboard school meeting point, I was able to watch my daughter's snowboard lessons, fireworks and other activities from our balcony.
The ski in and out location is very convenient.
As we spent there Christmas and New Year's Eve, the busiest season of the year, our room was quite expensive. But so is the rest of Switzerland.
Last but not least a good word about the really nice, professional and patient guys from the "Wildone" snowboard shop and rental. You guys are well worth the 20 min uphill walk to the other side of the village. And their prices are good.

“Wonderful holiday experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

This hotel is small and run by family members who do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Food is excellent and portions very generous.Breakfast buffet would heva benefitted from including croisants and maybe some toppings for the yogurt. Lunch on the terrace was very reasonably priced and nobody minded if you sat there all afternoon. Rooms very clean , service wonderful and certainly a place for a return visit. We stayed here briefly in winter as well and it was just as good then

Room Tip: All rooms have balconies that face the views so any room will give you good views of the mountains

“Very good hotel, value for money!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

We stayed 4 days in this hotel. Very good room, friendly owner and staff, good breakfast. No complaints! Location is excellent, at the end of the village, so very quiet. (The only thing you hear is the river form the mountains, that is, if you keep your window open at night.)
Cables and busses in the Saas valley are included, which saved us almost CHF 360.

“Really nice little hotel in a beautiful location"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

Just returned from a week here - booked through Inghams.
We had a lovely room which looked like it had been recently decorated. The best thing was the balcony which looked out over the glaciers.
Food - very nice meals - no choice, but they would fix you a different meal if you let them know before hand that it was something you didn't like. Usual plentiful continental breakfast. We also were given bread to make up lunchtime sandwiches - plus some fruit and chocolate to take out. This was great because Switzerland is very expensive. However you can drink the tap water so no need to but lots of drinks out.
Hotel wine is expensive (as in all Swiss hotels) but you can buy just a glass to have with dinner (works out about £4 a glass) or a beer (£6 for a large one). There are supermarkets nearby so you can also buy all types of drinks in them.
The hotel manager also fixed us up with bus/lift passes which was a great deal for about £8 each per day.
So we had a great time in this small and friendly hotel and would thoroughly recommend it for other people wanting to visit this amazing area.
