Love the indoor swimming and Spa in Kronenhof, the best I have ever experienced. The beauty of mountain view, the design, the space of this pool bits all the high standard pools such as: Mont Cervin Palace in Zermatt, Therme Vals, The Dolder Grand in Zurich, Tschuggen in Arosa (the last three are wonderful too, but smaller with less magical view).

Kronenhof is a great hotel, good service, nice room as the world class 5* hotel should be. we love the buffet breakfast, there are lots of choice and surprisingly even got a beautiful cake on our table in the morning of my birthday, that was a great personal touch! (we had it delivered to our room and enjoyed slowly during the rest of the day.)

We also enjoyed the gourmet restaurant Kronenstubli, it is cosy comfortable one star Michelin but we like it as much as the near by 2 star Johri's Talvo (see photos - http://blog.udn.com/bruhlmeier/2831197)

I love this hotel in every way but one little detail if I don't return for ski vacation? We need to drive to the ski station instead of just putting our ski right down the slop.... (hotel is located right in the old town of Pontresina, great for summer hiking)

Just returned from a few days visiting this hotel. A visit to remember for all of the right reasons. The staff without exception were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was wonderful in both of the hotel restaurants with a great selection at breakfast.
The hotel itself is situated very conveniently in the centre of Pontrasina just about 10 minutes drive should you want to visit St Moritz. The slopes are easily accessible and if you are a non-skiier there are numerous walks through the surrounding forest to build up an appetite.
We caught the Glacier Express train from Zurich. A 3 hour magical journey through the mountains with unbelievable views. Not to be missed!
The icing on the cake is that the Kronenhof has a great spa and swimming pool and you can even ice skate on a rink overlooking the mountains (and have a drink at the same time!).
We have visited Switzerland before and stayed at what we thought were good hotels but nothing matches the Kronenhof. The manager Mr Hunkeler runs a great team and his own expertise is evident from the high standards that we experienced on our all too short visit.
Incidentally an overnight stay in Zurich is well worth the effort. A beautiful city with much to see. We flew with Easyjet from Gatwick. Surprisingly good and complaint free.

stayed for 5 nights with my wife in this beautiful hotel. all the staff are very kind and doing everything for our pleasure. the food is excellent, the restaurant is breathtaking. the spa, pools and saunas are amazing.

Held several off-site meetings here for a couple days in December. The hotel is absolutely spectacular. Beautiful, luxurious, all with old-school charm that reminds you of what it must have been like in Switzerland at the turn of the century.

The restaurants are amazing:
-breakfast buffet: do try the whole wheat croissants (have seeds on them), there are to die for
-lunch: anything is good
-dinner: they have a fancy restaurant that whipped up one of the best dinners I have ever had. The famous roast duck with its own juice and liquid nitrogen ice cream, cooked tableside (very cool).

The fitness/spa facilities are top notch.
