I visited St. Moritz areea with my family for year end holiday. Some of our group are sunday skiers and all the rest just supporters...
Because St Moritz is an expencive place for turism, we choosed Pontresina, wich is very closed. This hotel has a good review and we choosed as our destitanion.
Good points:
- good stuff - helpful ( italians )
- clean rooms
- good sauna
- small pool but ok
- live music ( 1 musician with a PC and a guitar. Playing well, Pink Floyd, Clapton, and many others 70' Hits )
- kindergarden with nice stuff
- good price for the region
- good desserts - sweets
- good cofee
Bad points.
- modest food. Enough in quantity but modest chef. We expect more from italians?! They can...
- SPA only from 14:30 to 7:30
- SPA to basic ( exept sauna's )
- poor decoration in the rooms and in the common areea.
- common rooms are inhospitable, with minimum investment...We expect more from italians?!
- boring as the hole region.

Advice. If you are not a skiers don't loose your time here. But if you decide to come, You can choose Kronenhoff (more style and top cook), Hotel Saratz ( more family and better cuisine ).

We stayed here in 2001, I'm just catching up with my Tripadvisor reviews. If I am not mistaken, I believe it was a Club Med at the time? Not sure if it still is. We liked it, the food was good, and it was a perfect place to lay down your head after a heavy day of skiing or hiking. The little bridge part of the hotel was cute and the bed was comfortable.
