“Charming, cosy, homely and a life time dinner experiences”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

In this hotel everything - from the moment of your arrival to you departure - is heartily taken care. Mr & Mrs Amrein-Juon and the entire team ensured an unforgettable and remarkable staying this snowy weekend.
The rooms are cosy and warm and make you feel just great - they are not stylish in the sense of ultra-designed, but stylish as bedrooms ought to be in the Swiss Alps.
The dinner is exquisite, delicious - just fabulous. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, you have to book a table for a tête-à-tête dinner - promise, you won't regret a single bit(e).

“The Best Restaurant in ANY ski resort in Europe”

We visit Klosters and stay at the Walserhof twice a year both Summer and Winter with and without our family and love the area very much. Since the Davos bypass has been completed the traffic past the hotel is much quieter than it used to be. The Walserhof is a small boutique hotel with a cosy lounge, and an excellent bar area in the new wine cellar. The dining room is spacious with typical Swiss timber beams exuding tremendous atmosphere. The outside couryard is delightful for lunches, afternoon teas and evening drinks during the warmer months.
Armin Amrein ably supported by Corina has carried on in the same excellence as the previous owners Beat and Gaby Bolliger. In our opinion Armin and his kitchen team have continued to artistically create every course to a very high standard and are deserved of a second Michelin star. The beauty of staying any length of time is that Armin will vary the menu. The wine list is extensive including New World wines and there is a good range of half bottles. Whilst it is difficult staffing an establishment which is closed for several months of the year we have found the staff throughout the hotel excellent.

Room Tip: Suites at the back are excellent.

One of the most magnificent meals I have ever had, one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at... It was simply lovely!!! Well done to Corina and Armin.

“First class small hotel and dining room”

We arrived in Klosters without reservations (after deciding to pass on busy, overbuilt, Davos). The first two hotels quoted us really high rates, the third was less expensive but didn't look very nice, so we splurged and stayed at the Walserhof, which was not as high as the first hotel, but still very expensive for someone paying in dollars. We ate in the very pretty restaurant, where the food was excellent (also expensive). We should have asked first how much the bottle of wine they recommended was! But really, the experience, from the amuse- bouche (including the best soup I have ever had) to the complimentary plate of chocolates was a real experience. Despite the fact that we came in without reservations, and a bit bedraggled from a long day of travel everyone treated us with charm and respect. The chef indulged my mother by posing for pictures with her. The rooms are decorated simply in an Alpine style, with great beds and linens. The breakfast included homemade croissants, cappuccinos, amazing omelets, fresh squeezed juice, plus the usual buffet.
This is a small, comfortable hotel with fantastic service. It has a cute little lobby for guests, an outdoor patio for lunch, and a lot of the rooms have balconies, but there are no grounds ---it is not one of the grand hotels you see in this area --which is fine with me. I think it would be even more romantic in the winter.

“Friendly & Welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2009

We did not reside at the Hotel, just a short visit where we enjoyed a glass of champagne. Beautiful hotel and the hospitality was excellent.
