We visit Klosters and stay at the Walserhof twice a year both Summer and Winter with and without our family and love the area very much. Since the Davos bypass has been completed the traffic past the hotel is much quieter than it used to be. The Walserhof is a small boutique hotel with a cosy lounge, and an excellent bar area in the new wine cellar. The dining room is spacious with typical Swiss timber beams exuding tremendous atmosphere. The outside couryard is delightful for lunches, afternoon teas and evening drinks during the warmer months.
Armin Amrein ably supported by Corina has carried on in the same excellence as the previous owners Beat and Gaby Bolliger. In our opinion Armin and his kitchen team have continued to artistically create every course to a very high standard and are deserved of a second Michelin star. The beauty of staying any length of time is that Armin will vary the menu. The wine list is extensive including New World wines and there is a good range of half bottles. Whilst it is difficult staffing an establishment which is closed for several months of the year we have found the staff throughout the hotel excellent.
