A lovely hotel with grand but welcoming central spaces. The family Schmid were very friendly in this very traditional hotel, and they were more than accommodating for our very limited German. We had a lovely traditional Christmas with a champagne reception and some singing. Half board meals were always excellent, and the regular hotel bus to the slopes took the pain out of getting to the ski lifts. The town and the mountain are a very pretty part of Switzerland and worth a visit. We had amazing views from our corner room. The only issue we had to sort out was our initial disappointment with the table we were allocated for dinner / breakfast - not a problem at first, but then it mysteriously moved 6 feet nearer the buffet after the first night. However, we raised the issue with the management and we were given a very nice table from that point on - worth calling the hotel and mentioning you want a window table if you are half board.
