“I love Swiss hotels!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My wife and I spent one night at the Waldhaus to attend a business conference. This is a higher-end resort hotel, which is reflected in the price (we had a corporate rate at about CHF 350 but I think the room usually goes for more than CHF 500), but they deliver on the quality of the rooms, the service and the food. The staff were totally professional, very friendly and helpful. We didn't have time to try the spa but the breakfast was excellent and the overall atmosphere is just one of quiet elegance. Very relaxing. I'd love to go back for a private weekend. The surrounding area is of course also an obvious attraction. We went for a long hike to Laax after checking out ... stunning scenery. It's expensive, but when you check out, you at least feel like you got your money's worth.

“Erholsame Verwöhntage mit Luxus pur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

“Family friendly quality hotel in a nice Swiss ski resort. Not cheap.”

We travelled from the UK and stayed for a few days in early January 2012. We have stayed at the hotel before so knew that we would not be disappointed. Our kids (10 and 12) were a few years older than our previous visit and we noticed this time that the kids activities are very much focused on younger kids. It didn't matter too much as we were skiing all of the time but something to consider if you are not skiing. Go for the resort dining option if you plan to eat in the hotel as menu prices are very expensive standalone - probably normal for Switzerland. We discovered the new Curling Rink, bar and restaurant on our last night and it is definitely worth a go. The hot outdoor swimming pool is fantastic after a day's skiing and the kids all love it.

Room Tip: When booking for a family it might be best to get two adjoining rooms with two bathrooms rather than...

“A relaxing week-end in a beautiful Spa and an amazing service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011 via mobile

This resort is impreside with several different restaurants and types of room. We chose to stay in Silvana house, rated 4 stars. The rooms are very nice, quiet (good insonorisation), large bathrooms. You can have last minute Packages which are really attractive. The spa treatment for 2 are as well a pleasure( shared!). We had dinner at the Epoca, 17 points Gault M. The food was great and the service was one of the best I had! This restaurant is not huge so book in advance if you want to be sure to have a table. The same for the spa treatment.

“Loved the outdoor spa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

Our family spent a week at the hotel and would recommend the Grand Hotel rooms. The Chalet rooms can become very hot in summer. The hotel, food, service and activities were exceptional and I would definitely recommend it.
