This hotel had that rustic mountain feel to it and I loved it. It is very traditional. The doors are opened using actual keys instead of electronic locks. The rooms are well lit and have elegant wood paneling in them. One thing that I did not like is there is little control of the heat and even in the summer we could feel head coming out of the vent, so the rooms were quite warm and we had to keep the doors open to keep it cool. The bathroom was very nice and well lit. The shower is quite small because it is a part of the bathtub and there is only a small piece of glass so it is a small area or else water goes all over the floor. The best feature was the balcony in the room. It was very large and provided an excellent view of the snowcapped mountains and the city below. The hotel was within easy walking distance to many Crans-Montana features and there are many walking trails to get around on. Crans-Montana is an excellent destination. The food at the hotel was also very good. This hotel was one of the best ever that I have stayed at. The free and hassle free wi-fi was also a major plus.

The location of the hotel is a 10-min walk from the funicular station of Crans Montana and we were a bit worried before we arrived that with our skis it might bea long walk.
We called before our arrival and was told that the hotel could provide a transfer service from the station to the hotel and later from the hotel to the ski lift!

It's not a fancy hotel, rather it's more traditional and practical. Things are getting a bit old but overall acceptable. Service is excellent, lady in the front desk answered to all our questions with patience.

Absolutely worth the money especially in expensive Switzerland.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel du Parc in December of 2008 to attend the graduation ceremony of my brother at Les Roches. We had a cosy room overlooking the mountain side and it was picturesque. The room itself is very basic and very clean with wooden walls and a super clean bathroom. It was well heated and felt more like a lodge as opposed to a hotel. The staff is very friendly and all can speak english. The lobby area has a panoramic sitting area perfect for sunset views. The breakfast had many choices as well as an omlette station.
Id recommend this hotel to skiers as it has a laid back atmosphere and staff wont look down at you for walking in with wet boots and drenched umbrellas.

We stayed at Grand Hotel du Parc for 3 nigths in February. We got a room on the 4th (top) floor with a balcony facing south.

The staff speaks fluent english and are extremely helpful. We selected the restaurants for dinners based on hotel staff recommendations and all of them were excellent. They also sent a Swiss Army knive I forgot on the hotel room table to my home address.

The view from the hotel room and the balcony was breathtaking. The rooms are very large by European standards.

The hotel is 4 star and the only thing that is perhaps not supporting that is that the rooms are bit oldish. This is not to say that they are not clean and nice but rather that decoration migth be bit out of style.

The hotel has decent fitness room and good play area for kids. The relaxation/ sauna/ turkish steam room area is very nice and open from 5-7 pm every day.

The breakfast is excellent (something you find in top 4 star hotels in the US) and certainly better than in many other 4 star hotels in Europe (SAS Radissons and the likes).

The hotel is located 2-3 minute walk from downtown Montana and 15 minute walk from downtown Crans. For us the location was excellent; peaceful but still very close to the restaurants.
