As per previous reviews, I used this hotel as a base for touring the local area/mountain passes.
I had a great four nights on a half board "Summer Special Offer" Basis and can confirm all the good things already written.
The evening meal is four courses but I was so stuffed by the first three that I cannot comment on the pudding!
Great food,great location,great price. I look forward to visiting again.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst motorbike touring. We were made to feel very welcome. Our bikes were parked free in the garage. The bar is cosy and friendly. We were on half-board which was exceptional value for money - the food was excellent and the portions were generous. Bedrooms were simple but spacious and comfortable and clean. The situation is excellent - it is on the outskirts of the village near one of the main cable cars but is only a couple of minutes walk from the centre as Andermatt is quite small and compact. For motorbike touring, it is perfect with so many great passes on the doorstep - Furka, Grimsel, Susten, St Gothard, etc. I should mention that bikers were in a minority - it is by no means exclusively aimed at bikers.

Stayed here for 2 nights/3 days half board at the beginning of July. Very clean and tidy, nice room and very good food for the price, which was only £80 for the 2 nights, including breakfast and dinner. Views rifght down the valley at Andermatt, and a superb position for touring any of the numerous passes in the area. Highly recommended - I will be staying there again.

I have stayed at Hotel Aurora three times on three different motorcycle trips to Switzerland. This is a small family owned hotel. I love the place. Great complimentary breakfast to get you going. I plan to make another trip this year (2004).
