Hotel has not been renovated for decades - that includes bathrooms and mattresses (completely worn out). Though it's reasonably clean.

Ocean/Sea view is spectacular (in particular if you are high up) and unmatched by any of the surrounding hotels as this one is simply by far the tallest (with >30 floors the only one with more than 6-7 floors).

Sports: One indoor and one outdoor swimming pool: both of which are great; gym room is tiny and nobody uses it - but then again, there is enough nature around for anyone who wants to run.

Food: there might be quantity but quality is very average (even for German standards) and probably below average for comparably priced hotels

Activities / club style animation: Hotel seems to offer lot of activities

For anyone who get's a kick out of seeing the Ocean from high up and close proximity this is the right place (if you get a room on the ocean side). For anyone who values modern and well-kept interior and facilities this is a complete turn-off.

We stayed at this hotel recently for several days. The room had ocean view, which meant exactly that with a large terrace to enjoy it. All we could see from the room was forest and the sea, fantastic!

The hotel includes plenty of activities to enjoy like tennis, indoors and outdoors swimming pools, archery, steam room and sauna, golf and plenty of other activies that they organise every day.

The hotel is not right on the beach but it's a short walk from it, including the local nudist beach which is almost in front of it.

The hotel as such is a bit dated and is clearly a 60/70s product so it could do with a bit of renovation but it's generally in a good state so we didn't mind it and had a very enjoyable experience.

You can also get massages at the hotel, I got myself a full body massage and really enjoyed it. I was left wishing for more time to get the full hammam treatment but unfortunately it was time to come back!

It's also very close to Luebeck which makes a great day visit to its medieval old town.
