Wow. We booked a "junior suite", and were very pleased. The suite had an upstairs sitting room, and a bed and another sitting area downstairs. (We never used the upstairs room, we had plenty of space on the main floor). The bathroom was attractive and well designed. But...in order to reach our private balcony, we had to walk through the bathroom! In addition, in order to get privacy when using the bathroom, we had to pull down a lovely Roman shade, each time! So, the bath was lovely, the balcony was lovely with a wonderful view. But what a strange arrangement.

However, we managed with the limitation.

The location of this hotel is great, right on the water. We watched ships come in and out all day. We had a great view of the harbor. Yes, we would go back, but I think we would ask for a room with a different access to the balcony.

The hotel is very clean with a great location on the dock in Lindau. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel! We stayed here several nights in October 2004. We stayed in room 305 which was surprisingly large (It was the largest room on that floor - I would guess the main part of the room was 20ftX20ft). Had a king size bed, a sofa and chair, a desk w/chair and another table to put your bags on (as well as an Armoire in the hall!). The bathroom was large and clean - the only negative was water found it's way onto the floor when showering. The view was incredible. The hotel was a short walk to the train station and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful and all seemed to speak very good English. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Germany I will definitely stay here again.

We loved our room at the Lindauer Hof - great view of the harbor and the mountains in the distance. The location is perfect - 1/12 blocks from the train station and the ferry dock. The hotel has a good restaurant, and serves outside as well under umbrellas. An expansive buffet breakfast is included. The hotel shares the harbor front with the Bayerisher Hof and Seegarten - but they are quite a bit more expensive.
