Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a nice hotel, with a superb location within Lindau. Located directly opposite the railway station, close the the harbour and lighthouse and less than a five minute walk into the pretty centre of Lindau.

The hotel is traditionally decorated in keeping with age of the hotel. The standard of the rooms is very good and comfortable. Breakfast was also of a good standard. The hotel also offers one hour of free internet access within your room, with a 5 hour connection priced at €5.00. The staff on reception was also especially helpful, sorting out train time options for us and giving tips on where to go in Lindau. The Hotel Bayerischer Hof is interconnected with the Hotel Seegarten and Hotel Reutemann, owned and operated by the same company.

Although at the end of season when I visited, you could imagine the Hotel Bayerischer Hof being a very pleasant place to stay during the warm summer months in Lindau beside the beautiful lake Konstanz.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the hotel has a parking lot very close to the hotel.
The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was extremely large for European standards. The room and the bathroom were a little outdated - wood paneled walls, slightly outdated furniture, etc.
The room did not have climate control so we had to open the windows. Unfortunately our room backed up to a loading dock which meant we were woken up very early by delivery trucks. We slept very poorly both nights.
The breakfast was fantastic as was the breakfast room staff.

The location of this hotel has to be one of the best in Germany with its outlook over the Lake and the Austrian Hills. The welcome reception was first class and our room, a little small, had a wonderful view as noted above. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped with a nice little balcony. The breakfast room had a similar outlook and breakfast was of good quality.

While somewhat expensive the evening meal was well presented and of excellent quality although the wait staff were a little tardy.

The Hotel exists there since 1850 and has been renovated and expande a few times. The staff is very friendly and very competent. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with all you need. The lake side bar is a perfect place to enjoy a cool beer with an absolut scenic view of the Austrian and Swiss alps.
The gym is very small and not equipped well, so don't expect to much. The pool outside is O.K. It's always worthwhile staying in this hotel and enjoy walks in the old town for shopping or good food.
