“Wonderful Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

Overall, I would say the hotel was really nice. The furnishings were not terribly outdated. The closet space was ample. The little sofa was a nice added touch. The television was broken which was annoying. A continental breakfast is included with your stay and it is really good. The desk clerk speaks English so that was helpful.

The location of this hotel is perfect. If you stay here, you will be within a short walking distance of the train station, the Jewish Cemetery, the Dom, the Rhine River, shops, etc.

I loved being able to hear the Cathedral bells from our window in the morning.

This hotel was great and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose a non-smoking room that faces the outside

“A quality hotel, though a bit close to the Cathedral bells!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2009

We found this hotel late one evening when passing through, and we were impressed by the free car park, the bright, eficient reception, and sense of quality. 125 Euros for a room was a bit high, but I'm sure advance booking is cheaper. The ambience is in a bit of a 70's timewarp (e.g. built-in bedside radio). The room was clean and well maintained, but I noticed the stairway carpets were starting to fade - some refurbishment is due, really. The breakfast room is pleasant and offers a good choice. Location is very central and convenient, but the drawback of being the "Dom" (= Cathedral) hotel is the early morning bells (were there on a Sunday). There is no a/c so the windows have to be open, so you can't really avoid the noise. However, it wasn't enough to put me off staying again if I'm in the area.

“Good location, hotel not up-to-date”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

The hotel has 4 stars and I don't really doubt them, it just does not look very modern, more like 70's. Needs a re-do all around. The parking garage is located rather inconveniently around the corner. From there you have to haul your luggage - no direct entry to the hotel. No special place to put our bikes, as was usual in other hotels. Positive: rather large room, blinds to keep off the sunshine and the heat, central location, not too loud, good breakfast.

“Wonderful German inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2009

We have stayed at th e Kriemhilde Dom Hotel several times over the last ten years and it's a wonderful find! The owners are very helpful and the location is wonderful - under a minute to walk to the main shopping area, bakeries and restaurants. The Dom (cathedral) is literally across the square and is beautiful! The rooms are simple but very clean and the breakfast was wonderful as well. Highly recommend it!

  • Liked — Location and food
  • Disliked — The bells at the cathedral ring kind of early in the morning

“botique hotel without the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2008

It is a small boutique hotel on the walking only square. It backs onto a real street where I was able to park on their property. My wife is disabled and the accommodations were superb for her.

We took an 'apartment', that is a suite. In NYC it would be about $400, in Worms a little over 100 Euro. Worth the price; worth the treat. The parlor portion had a convertible couch in case you travel with children. Breakfast is part of the package. It is the third best breakfast I have had in 40 years of visiting the continent.

The hotel is absolutely a gem. Outside there are plenty of restaurants but the most active place sold Gelato.
