This Hotel is a little gem, clean, friendly and a good location in Boppard, but what really makes the hotel are the hosts, John and Karin are both really wonderful, friendly, helpfull people, and if the world was full of people like John, with his attitude to life, and other peopel, then it would be a much better place. :-)
Breakfast was great, and everyone said the hot pancakes were yummy, the fresh crusty rolls were for me though with the cheese and cold meats. The bar area was friendly and welcoming, and locals being English or German were all friendly. Would stay here again, without a doubt, and recommend it to anyone as a place to stay.

Based on the TripAdvisor reviews, my friend and I chose the Hotel Ohm Patt for a one night stay while returning from Frieburg. Our plan was to hop on the Rhine cruise the next morning in Boppard, which turned out well. As others have noted, John is an excellent host, which made our stay very enjoyable. He provided specific directions around the town, and made sure that we had a couple of different restaurant recommendations.
Our large corner room was spacious and very comfortable--the bed in particular helped to provide a good night's sleep, as did the hotel's quiet location overlooking a quaint square. Breakfast the next morning was a myriad of choices. All in all, the Hotal Ohm Patt provided an excellent value in a lovely little town.

This hotel is an excellent choice for a hotel in the enjoyable town of Boppard. The bed was comfortable and the location excellent. The best thing is the host, John. As others have mentioned, he goes above and beyond to make sure the guests have an enjoyable stay. He truly wants to deliver top notch service and he succeeds. My wife and I both enjoyed meeting this man.
The only negatives are there are no lifts if that is important and the bathroom is small. Both of these are true of many other small hotels.

We came here for the first time in 2010 and were so impressed with the service and hospitality from John and Karin that we booked again for 2011. This year we took my brother and his wife and although we had told them both how friendly John and Karin were and nothing was too much trouble for them they had to experience it for themselves. John is the perfect host, he will help with anything you ask him to, restaurants, train journeys, cruises. This year he advised us on the flower show at Koblenz and told us it would be better to buy an inclusive ticket as it would save us money and it did we had a fantastic day out. The breakfast is great, as much to eat as you can manage and if you are there on a Sunday you will get a cooked breakfast and John will even cook you pancakes. Thank you John & Karin for a great holiday, hope to see you again next year.
