Don't be misled by the name, this hotel is some distance from the airport; it is actually on the outskirts of Ratingen. It is a good hotel for business in the area though, as parking is free and there is good access to the surrounding area.
The hotel often seems to be fully booked, due to conventions/trade fairs, so you need to book in advance.
Rooms were ok, although a little unconventional, the room was open plan apart from the toilet so the shower is in the bedroom, a little strange but ok if you are staying by yourself.
The TV was an old cathode ray with no English channels except for news. Also only expensive 3rd party WIFI, but the wired internet is free. The basic mini-bar was also included.
The dinner menu was a bit limited and would get boring after more than 2 nights (some decent and good value restaurants in Ratingen though). The breakfast was exception though, one of the best hotels I have found in this regard. They actually cook eggs well! Also some nice cooked vegetables and they even had Muller milkshakes on the buffet if you can drink that in the morning!
The gym has a sauna and steam room, but the fitness facilities were embarrassingly limited.
