For starters, this hotel is no closer to the Koln/Bonn Airport than just taking a trip straight into Cologne...in fact, you are going further away from Cologne...so save yourself the time and expense and just go directly to the city if that's where you are ultimately waiting to go. We booked this room because we thought we'd be tired after 15 hours of travel and just stay close to the hotel on the first night...we had to go back past the airport to get to Cologne the next day.

The room was spacious and clean, so that was okay, but the hotel is truly in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing within walking distance, and there is nothing to see. The restaurant on the main floor of the hotel provided hands-down the worst service I have ever experienced in any restaurant on the planet. The waitress was not terribly busy, but it still took two hours to complete the service, and she still didn't bring everything. The creme caramel that we ordered was paraded past us from the kitchen to the service counter, and then 45 minutes later, the waitress came to tell us that she couldn't give it to us...no explanation as to why and no indication why it took her 45 minutes to let us know there was a problem. Just awful!
