What a fantastic location is this complex of buildings in the very historic part of the town, & what picturesque surroundings! So relaxing and pleasant! 10 minutes walk from the station and 35 minutes by train to Hamburg also adds value to the location.
The room was huge & impeccably clean, the food was standard 4* excellent. A bit overpriced to my purse, I would not stay there on my own. Business facilities were standard 4*, although my colleagues had continuous problems with WiFi connection.
I am neither a German but would call this hotel 'international' enough, contrary to some previous reviewers.

It's difficult to know what to say about this hotel - it's a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff in a lovely location. We didn't have breakfast but did have lunch in Mama Rosas which was absolutely lovely.

Having not been in Germany for many years I was happy to be heading over for a factory visit. We were booked into the hotel, and flew to Hamburg and drove down. On getting into the hotel, we were very warmly greeted by the reception staff who spoke very good English and checked into our rooms. I had a room on the 4th floor which was very well presented, modern, light and clean. There was a TV, mini bar internet access etc.

As we had time we had a little wander around Luuneburg which is a very picturesque German town, full of gorgous streets and litlle cafe's. The hotel itsself, sits over looking a river with some stunning views of the town. We also used the pool and sauna facilites which, while small, compared to some hotels were very modern and very very clean. We had dinner in the restraunt overl;ooking the river, which was excellent, the food was very good and the service was top notch. Breakfast in the morning was also good. I have noticed that more and more european hotels give UK/US options with breakfast ie, bacon sausages and eggs!. Which I enjoyed, as well as sampling the usual continental style on offer.

All in all I was very impressed with this hotel, and we will use it again when we come back next year for our second round of meetings.

We stayed here for a couple of days in early spring as a get-away. Wonderfully relaxing, excellent hotel.
