Had two very nice nights at bergstrom. Enjoyed the central location, used the gym, had a nice dinner, a glass of wine in the bar and the river has a good running trail. Free parking and internet.

We have taken the opportunity to spend a few days at the Hotel, which we had stayed at before, over the Christmas Holidays. We spent a wonderfully quiet and relaxing time, with well-cooked and well presented dinners. This time we had a room in the Abtsmühle, one of the old mill buildings, with a splendid view over the the Ilmenau, accross to the old crane - lovely ! Also knowing the suites in the mill tower as well as rooms in the modern part of the Hotel, we can say that it was enjoyable everywhere.
Food is very pleasant if not top gourmet level, nothing displeased us.
We will certainly come again.

What a fantastic location is this complex of buildings in the very historic part of the town, & what picturesque surroundings! So relaxing and pleasant! 10 minutes walk from the station and 35 minutes by train to Hamburg also adds value to the location.
The room was huge & impeccably clean, the food was standard 4* excellent. A bit overpriced to my purse, I would not stay there on my own. Business facilities were standard 4*, although my colleagues had continuous problems with WiFi connection.
I am neither a German but would call this hotel 'international' enough, contrary to some previous reviewers.

It's difficult to know what to say about this hotel - it's a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff in a lovely location. We didn't have breakfast but did have lunch in Mama Rosas which was absolutely lovely.
