When I could not find an acceptable room in Goslar, I decided to try a town nearby. That's how I ended up in this hotel. While the town itself is not much to brag about, it is close to all the sights and attractions of the region. To do it justice, I should have stayed for four weeks instead of four days.
The room was impeccable in all respects. Something to look forward to for a rest after a day spent exploring the region either on foot, by bicycle or by car. The only thing I did not like particularly were the squeegee soap dispensers in the bathroom. Not a big deal, however.
The food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast could easily have been less opulent without losing any marks.
Especially noteworthy is the complimentary internet access. The best I have had during almost a month of traveling in Germany (Rostock, Rügen, Potsdam and Weimar).

“Great hotel - can't wait to visit it again”

We've stayed in this hotel for the fourth time now (having visited it each year from 2007 on) and it was always a great experience. Suitably located near the Harz National Park which is a great area for walking (which is the main purpose for our yearly trip). The food is excellent and great value for money. Adding the peace & quiet and a very friendly staff to that: what else do you need for a great stay ? You probably guessed right: also in 2011 we will visit this hotel again !
