Despite receiving confirmation of my booking made in April for the 75th Elvis Anniversary Festival to include a taxi from Frankfurt airport, no taxi was waiting and staff on reception were adamant I had no reservation. My husband had to email copies of correspondence confirming my booking before my friend and I were given a room in what I can only describe as a dismissive manner when an apology was surely in order!
Breakfast buffet was excellent, rooms nice and clean, although balcony overlooked part of the spa in the hotel grounds where men were relaxing naked - some visitors may find this inappropriate/offensive!
Complimentary soft drinks in the fridge were supposed to be replenished daily, but this didn't happen unless we requested it at reception.
The Puerto Rican staff (sorry I have forgotten your names) made our stay with their friendly, relaxed approach. Other staff, especially those on reception, we found to be unwelcoming and rude for no discernable reason.
All hotel entrances nearest to the town centre were closed around 10pm, necessitating a long walk down the dark hotel driveway. After getting lost in the dark on our first night, we took taxis.
We were told there was no food available after 10pm, even on room service.
A really stressful experience with no redeeming qualities.
