I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference. It is a sprawling piece of real estate! And you can easily get lost in the grounds. It is also very difficult to find within the town, as my taxi driver found, to his mistake upon arrival from Frankfurt airport!
I arrived late into the evening but was greet very well by the reception staff and given an upgraded room. Very nice and significantly roomy, too. And additional living room and separate "large" bathroom. There was a complicated system of electronic blinds that did take some time to get used to. The room also had blackout blinds but no integration AC but a portable AC unit in the room.
Breakfast was "functional" and the staff were very "Germanic" in that if you did not speak German, then refused to understand you in English. But sign language sufficed until the manager came over and gave the waitress a good talking to, once my frustration was made patently clear.
The restaurant serves a very good selection of food and there is a good pub/bar with a pool table in the hotel, as well serving bar food, too.
Overall the hotel was of a very good standard with a better than average sleep quality.
