We booked a room here last minute for a short wellness getaway. We found a great bargain on a room in this hotel, which is connected to the thermal spa via an underground tunnel. When we arrived, to our surprise, we were upgraded to a suite. The room was lovely, with a nice balcony, two TVs, a sitting room with a small fridge, and a large bathroom. In the room sat a complimentary bottle of water and basket of fruit. At the check in, they asked us to sit on the couch and relax with a class of sparkling wine, while they completed the paperwork (so much nicer than standing at the counter for five minutes). In the room, robes and towels for the spa are provided. There is a hair dryer, but it's not very strong. Aside from the spa, the hotel has many walking/hiking trails surrounding it. We also ate at the Michelin rated restaurant Il Giardino, which is a five minute drive away (awesome). Breakfast was pretty good, buffet with typical German fare. The only negative thing I can describe happened at check out. The young girl working quoted us the wrong price (the published rate of the room instead our internet rate). It seemed she was very new at the job, or just clueless, and instead of immediately getting the manager, she kept quoting us different prices (it was a bit weird). Finally, she got the manager, who was very friendly, and he "OK'd" our booking rate. He said something to the effect that our rate was four years old and he hasn’t changed it yet (again, weird). All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
