OK, this place was probably a nursing home built in proximity to the healing baths of Bat Toelz (I assume) thus it has a real hospital vibe. There are buttons in every room and hallway to summon help. This is a creaky, old and not very charming establishment in a not too convenient location. The desk reception was downright indifferent, as if our arrival was an inconvenience to them. The breakfast (typical European inclusive) was really pretty good, tho limited offering. There are many options in Bad Toelz and it is a larger town than you would expect in a fantastic location in Bavaria. Don't get tempted by this hotel. It is very hard to find and, asking around, nobody seems to have even heard of it. If you do stay here, bring GPS and much patience, otherwise you will lose your mind trying to find it and even when you do, the enormous Fussgangerplatz will prevent you from driving there. Call a travel agent and pick a hotel in the Altstadt of Bad Toelz. Closer to great restaurants, shopping, and the charming old city. Avoid Frisia unless your budgetary considerations trump everything else. In short, be afraid, be very afraid.
