This hotel is in a great location in a truly beautiful area. The staff are good and helpful. The breakfast buffet is first class with some very nice touches. There is no getting away from the fact that the room has seen better days. It was a nice size opening outside; but the room needs refurbishing.It is tired. Having said that the bed etc. was fine.

We stayed for 1 night during Easter days in a Double room facing the beautiful town of Titisee. The hotel was almost fully booked due to Easter holidays, so there wasn't any lake view rooms available. We payed 180 euros with breakfast plus taxes for 1 night that was overpriced for my opinion. Our room was big enough and pretty nice but a little old and tired. A renovation must be done asap in order . The hotel staff was very polite and proffesional in every aspect. The brekafast was perfect due to the fantastic view to the lake and the quality of the products being served. Great buffet variety and great service.
We were given a card in order to visit the pool and the fitness center but unfortunately we didn't have the time to go.

For the price of this place, I would have expected more, such as wireless internet or an included breakfast. There was nothing special about this hotel except for the amazing view of the lake. But getting there was a nightmare. Other reviewers have commented on this, but I dismissed their comments as likely coming from the geographically challenged. Do NOT underestimate how difficult this place is to find! Even with GPS, it was a challenge to find the right branch to take off of the traffic circle going into the resort area, but then to wind down an incredibly narrow and undeveloped dirt path, you just wouldn't expect to find this place at the end of it. The comments about the rooms being dated are absolutely correct, but the beds were very, very comfortable and the plush robes were a nice touch. So all in all, so real hits but also some real misses as well.

we have regularly stayed in this hotel (every winter break for 1 week). The food is excellent and varied, the landscape is wonderful. Dogs are admitted but don't expect to get food from the restaurant ; the staff and the reception consider that your pet don't need to eat. We got nothing and had to take from our plates.
Since 1st november 2010, the parking spaces are not free. We had to pay although our tour operator had not informed us about this.
The quality of the food is very good as I said but in comparison with the previous years, the quality has somehow fallen !
