We always stay at the Watthalden when in the area. The hotel is fairly new, very contemporary with nice rooms. You may want to stay away from the rooms that are facing the street - there's little traffic during the night, but morning and evening traffic might be a bit noisty. The hotel is walking distance from scenic downtown Ettlingen, and some of the best restaurants in town are actually right next to the hotel.
