Paul, Uma, and the rest of the 'family' couldn't have been more gracious host and hostesses to us. It was our first trip to Germany, a special anniversary celebration, and this hotel was our favorite, bar none. We had gone to Heidelberg, Munich, the Blackforest Area, ending our trip here to be in the Rhine/Mosel River area. Our room was spacious, the buffet breakfast outstanding and dinner too, enjoying the fresh air, birds chirping, and the view from our balcony. Restful way to end our trip and wonderful to come 'home'. We definitely recommend this hotel without reservation. Enjoy your time in Germany by staying here!

what a gem, we are really pleased we stopped over on our way back to the UK from Austria. The evening meal was one of the best we have had anywhere and the breakfast was superb - definitely worth a visit ,shame we couldn't stay longer. Backed up by excellent staff and attentive service this hotel is a must if you are in the area

Stayed two times one night with the family (parents, 3 kids - 5,3,0). Excellent, friendly and fast service. Copieus and great tasting dinner, a breakfast with fresh-baked cakes, and a family room with enough space for all. The family room on the first night had bunk beds for the kids, the mattresses in our beds were a bit too hard. On the way back to Switzerland we enjoyed another family room in which the beds were much better - although the kids missed the bunk beds.
All in all a fantastic experience - we will surely say here again on future trips.

From the minute we pulled into the gasthaus to the moment we had to depart this stay was wonderful. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to fussganger zone of Oberwesel. The neighborhood is lovely. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Room was spotless. We had a German double bed and a bunk bed. Couch and two chairs. Nice plasma TV. Nice bath, shower was good. Balcony with two exterior chairs. The double bed was a little firm for our taste. Cherry tree full of cherries in side garden. Yum. The breakfast was fantastic! Cakes, brotchen, jellies, waffles, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, juices, coffee, tea. The cake was best! The staff were very attentive and spoke good English. Parking was free and easy.
