“Great value & location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

Excellent value for the location, about 12 min. from FRA airport by car. Clean hotel and grounds, and a super courteous staff. Parking is free, which is very rare for hotels within this proximity to a major airport. Hotel shuttle bus used to be free on a previous stay, but now costs 5 Euros per person. Buffet breakfast is excellent, with a broad selection. Evening buffet is pretty complete and satisfying, but if you're desiring a gourmet meal, best to go off grounds. There's a steak house within a very short walk of the hotel, various Italian restaurants, and doner kebabs. Rooms are a good size, with a spacious bathroom, and standard grade toiletries. Hotel shampoo has an odd smell, so bring your own. Pumper soap dispenser in the shower. Bath tubs are high and awkward, so getting in and out can be diffcult for elderly or disabled, but the hotel does have rooms with showers for handicap upon request. Magnifying mirror in bathroom, blow dryer, extra pillows in the closet, and TV with at least CNN, Sky, and another euro English channel. Plenty of Deutsch channels, some French and at least one Spanish channel TVE from Spain. Internet access is free in the lobby in 30 min. increments. Simply walk up to check-in counter and pull a 'slip' containing a username and password to obtain 30 min. free. Take several 'slips' if you desire for "extra time", but you'll have to relog in with a new password every half hour. Power outlets are within close range of the lobby sofa. Internet access in the room for a fee. The hotel has a pool, spa and sauna - possibly for a fee?? Some soft background noise from jets taking off from FRA airport, but not annoying because of glazed windows. My room looked toward the front of the hotel and parking lot, so my car was clearly visible from my window. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to get a good night's rest and great service, while saving money.

Room Tip: I believe this hotel may offer "day rooms" for a very reasonable price (less than overnigh...

“Pretty average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

I stayed at the NH Hotel in Raunheim for business in mid-October and found it pretty average. The conference facilities were adequate and suited the needs of our meeting. The rooms were basic but clean. I felt that the food let the hotel down. I was there for two nights and the breakfast and dinner was buffet style, with little or no variation day to day. For a hotel frequented by people attending business meetings and holiday travellers I would have liked internet to have been free, but it cost 10 Euros for 24 hours. There's also not much in Rauenheim so I'd really only recommend staying there if you're using the conference facilities or because it's near Frankfurt airport.

“Airline Referral: $77 a Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Grounded in Frankfurt because Hurricane Irene canceled our flight to the US, we took the airline's referral to this hotel. Total cost was $77 a night, which I consider a bargain. Free bus from airport (make sure you take the right one--there are 4). Free WiFi in lobby for 1/2 hour a day. Breakfast expensive, but Raunheim is only a 10-minute walk and has several places to eat. Room was clean, service was as expected. If you have time on your hands, you can walk to Raunheim's train station for direct trains to Frankfurt.

“Overall an average hotel for staying”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

NH Hotel, Raunheim is a good hotel from a purely stay purpose. However, when it comes to other aspects like nearby surroundings, value-adds etc, I feel this hotel is a BIG NO. First while the per night rates are normal (usually averages around 80 Euros), they charge additional and substantially for breakfast and internet (around 20 Euros / day). This I feel is quite a lot.

Also the hotel is around 20 mins drive from the airport. The shuttle though claims to be a 30 mins frequency but I had to wait for at least 50 mins before the shuttle arrived. The shuttle offered only 8 people space and hence lot of people who were waiting for more than 30 mins had to either wait for next round or take a cab.

The area Raunheim is almost dead in the night with hardly anyone visible on the road. The area has continuous sound of airplanes flying throughout the night.

There are two restaurants nearby one of them being Country Steakhouse which is believed to be good. I stayed there for just 1 night because my regular hotel in the city was full for that night. Hence I can only suggest this hotel if you exhaust other options near the city.
Forgot to mention the hotel has a nice swimming pool and fitness center but for a night stay, I could hardly use any of these facilities.

“Not a bad stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

I stayed here for two nights while visiting the motor show nearby. The hotel i found clean and comfortable, even the fact that 2 coach loads of spanish people didn't affect my stay. The food at the bar was average for the price and the drinks were expensive but typical of hotel bars.

The breakfast though is VERY VERY overpriced for what you get.... not very satisfying for 19 euros each time.....

The bar staff working the evenings of the 16th and 17th were very friendly and had great customer service skills so pass along my thanks, they make a tasty cocktail!

Oh and i didnt experience the shuttle bus but had a hire car and found it no problem getting parked.
