A very confortable and pleasant hotel, just 3 minutes walk from both the railway station and the bus station. A few minutes' walk takes you past the Kaiser's Arch, into a pleasant, pedestrianised shopping area.

The hotel is modern, bright and airy - nothing cramped or "pokey" about it. My bedroom was a generous size, with a big, outlook window giving a pleasant view. The bed was very comfortable. The shower-toilet was clean and adequate, but perhaps a trifle small.
The satellite TV gave English language BBC & CNN, as well as German channels.

The breakfast room was comfortable, and the hot & cold breakfast buffet was varied and generous. Their scrambled eggs, fried bacon & sausages etc. were very tasty & filling.

This hotel has its own restaurant, and you can either sit out in the open or in the Steak-House dining-room. This is attractively decorated with stone arches, a large artifical tree, an indoor fountain and a goldfish pond (real fish), [see photo] ; and this all makes a very relaxing setting for enjoying a unhurried meal. The meals are delicious and generous, and moderately priced.

Kaiserhof Hotel - WESEL-

A group of Aussies stayed here during DRUPA 08 and found the convenience of catching a train to DRUPA was one of the good features of staying at the KAISERHOF, as the train station is a flat 2 minute walk. Took about 45 minutes to get to DRUPA in Dusseldorf.
The trains are fast and modern and on time.

The rooms are clean and comfortable although the windows are bothersome to open for fresh cool air as they are quite large and heavy to operate. No air conditioning, it was quite stuffy and warm on several nights during our stay.

Close walking distance to a shopping mall with many good quality restaurants. Plenty of icecream shops ??? Take a stroll to the far end of the mall and you will find a group of restaurants and pubs with a sand/beachy street scape, which is nice underfoot in Summer.

The KAISERHOF Hotel is run by a friendly couple with Aussie connections who were happy to talk of their days in Australia years ago and showed a genuinne interest in our travels.

The restaurant is pleasant offering a good selection of German foods and when in season the popular Sparghel (asparagus) is a treat to try.
The menu is extensive and the breakfast buffet offers a wide selection for choice.
There is a nice beer garden at the front of the hotel where you can enjoy a coldie or a coffee at any time during the day and watch the parade of people pass by.
It is a pleasant hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Dusseldorf and offers a friendly relaxed atmosphere ( on occasion too relaxed re; the waiters/waitress ) , it is a clean and well run hotel that I would return to.

Everything was OK ! Very good restaurant - I enjoyed the meals every day. Stayed in the hotel during the DRUPA tradefair in Dusseldorf. One minute to the train station and perfect connection to Dusseldorf. Good deal!

I visited Wesel at the Rhine river for 3 nights (business by company Corus). The Hotel is located centrally in downtown of Wesel. There are only few steps to the shops and to the public transportation. My room was new refurbished and very nice - I can't say something about the other rooms. My room was perfect and a good rate. The stuff is very helpfull (not all speaks english, but some italian!). There is a big restaurant - the food was excellent. I can recommend this hotel for leisure and business trips.
