Have stayed in the Kaiserhof twice and in terms of what's available in the 'throbbing metropolis' of Wesel it's a good option.

The rooms are of a good standard, clean, and have nice bathrooms. Wifi is also included. Downsides are the views of some of the rooms which overlook the car park of the hotel and the restaurant's extractors fans, which can be a bit noisy.

But the location is good as it is very close to the main street of Wesel, which is where most of the shops and restaurants are, and it makes these within walking distance.

...I stopped a day in this economy middle class hotel. Comfortable clean, well appointed and quiet rooms although in centre Wesel. Nice clean bathroom with good water pressure. Excellent connections to Dusseldorf airport and the highway 3 bringing you to Amssterdam or Cologne. Walking distance to good restaurants and shops. Save area !Extremely helpful and efficient staff at reception who went out of their way to meet my requests even in the early hours of the morning! Room deal was also reasonably priced and included breakfast - I cannot think of any other similar quality reasonably priced hotel. Last but not least, this hotel provides free Wifi access in the hotel rooms and restaurant - this is a deal breaker for me and signifies a hotel which adopts a professional and modern approach to its guests' communication needs. When will other hotels stop using Wifi charges to milk their guests ?!

I spend a lot of my time travelling - in fact I am not due "home" until February 2010 - so the thought of arriving at yet another hotel at the dead of night did little for me. I had a car full of samples and no desire to schlepp them to my room. I was pleasantly surprised - a very friendly and professional welcome and an individual garage. A flying start!

Really not much more to say than everything was totally perfect - immaculate bedroom and common areas and good, sensibly priced food with a choice of cafe-bar or restaurant. Nothing clever so far BUT BUT BUT the one thing they surpassed themselves with was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble - from looking up the number of a local business to making an introductory phone call in the German language. You can't underestimate what that is worth to a tired, cyncial and jaded traveller.

Whenever I am within shooting distance of this hotel I know I will return.

A very confortable and pleasant hotel, just 3 minutes walk from both the railway station and the bus station. A few minutes' walk takes you past the Kaiser's Arch, into a pleasant, pedestrianised shopping area.

The hotel is modern, bright and airy - nothing cramped or "pokey" about it. My bedroom was a generous size, with a big, outlook window giving a pleasant view. The bed was very comfortable. The shower-toilet was clean and adequate, but perhaps a trifle small.
The satellite TV gave English language BBC & CNN, as well as German channels.

The breakfast room was comfortable, and the hot & cold breakfast buffet was varied and generous. Their scrambled eggs, fried bacon & sausages etc. were very tasty & filling.

This hotel has its own restaurant, and you can either sit out in the open or in the Steak-House dining-room. This is attractively decorated with stone arches, a large artifical tree, an indoor fountain and a goldfish pond (real fish), [see photo] ; and this all makes a very relaxing setting for enjoying a unhurried meal. The meals are delicious and generous, and moderately priced.
