“Fantastic, friendly and fun - and a beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

We stayed here for five nights and we had the most fantastic time. Martin and his whole family were very friendly and accommodating towards us - it really does feel relaxing and as though you are at home. The area is gorgeous, with lovely views all round (not to mention the gentle tinkling of cow bells in the distance!). We really felt as though we had properly gotten away from it all. The sauna and Wellness facilities are great too. I cannot recommend highly enough.

“Terrific Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

We stayed at Schwartzwald-Pension Krautle 8 nights during Aug 2011, 2 adults and 2 kids (9+12). The place is located in a mountain-hilly area with great view all around. The pension is very clean and neat, it is furnished simple but immediately makes you feel cozy.
The breakfast is multifarious with eggs to your preference, cheese, vegetables, local jams, fresh bread, fruits, cereals and more.
But, the most impressive and important impression of ours from Pension Krautle is from its owners. Martin and Anna are remarkable hosts. They cooperative, helps you with any request you have and makes you feel welcome in any minute of your stay. No doubt I will recommend them to my friends and family travelling to the black forest.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2010

We recently stayed at Berghof Krautle completely by accident. We had booked no accomodation for our trip to Germany and were hoping to find something in the Black Forest for Christmas. We could not have found a nicer, more welcoming place. Martin and his wife were incredibly friendly offering us their last room for Christmas night. We ended up staying two nights due to Martin's incredible hospitality. The surrounding area is great for sightseeing and we were lucky enough that it had snowed and there was great fun to be had wandering around in the snow. The restaurant attached to this hotel is also amazing, we had the best schnitzel ever! The waitress and chef were very friendly and even though our German wasn't the best, we were able to communicate very well. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a quaint German place to stay.

“The Best Pensiion-Hotel in the Black Forest”

We just got back from a three week trip to Southern Germany. We spent
one week at the Hotel-Pension Krautle in Feldbeg-Neuglashutten in the
Black Forest. Martin Krautle and his wife Anna were the most perfect hosts. I have traveled to many cities in Europe and have never been treated better. Martin went out of his way to help us plan our day trips, ran us to train and bus stations and gave us great advice. Having a car would be convenient but with Martin's help train and bus
travel worked well. It was so reasonably priced that I couldn't belive how nice it was. We rented a two bedroom, two bath apartment and a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 couples. His website is [----]

“Excellent stay in Black forest”

We stayed for four nights at Black forest at berghof-kraeutle apartment located at Feldberg-Neuglashütten . We had booked two bedroom apartment for two couples with two children. The apartment was newely made. All rooms had internet connectivity and all bedrooms also had LCD TV. The view from the room was amazing. The Kraeutle family was very helpful and warm. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant couple of times. The food was very good and reasonably priced. This pension is located in between Scluchsee a nd Tittisee lakes. Hence its a very convenient place for day outings. We visited triberg and lake constance also , all at an hour drive from this place. Overall it was a very good experience. I will highly recommend this place for families. Next year I plan to go there again.
