We stayed at this hotel for one night in the latter half of May 2010. We chose this hotel at the last minute as it was located on a lake and it was fairly close to Munich (we had to take a train leaving Munich in the morning). The room (100 Euros) was large with a private bathroom and a balcony but with oldish furniture and a very plain decor - smelled musty. There was a large free parking lot just next to the hotel. In the lobby there was a free internet terminal. The breakfast (5 Euros) was offered in another building (by the lake) - it was a great buffet. This building also has a restaurant and caters to parties (there was an anniversary party that evening). What disappointed us was that there was absolutely nothing going on in the area. We walked around a bit but it was completely residential (impossible to have views of the lake as you're walking around the different streets) and there were no other restaurants, shops, etc in the vicinity of the hotel. The place was completely dead. So we headed by car to the town of Starnberg (about 10 minutes away) and we were then able to walk around, have an apératif by the lake, have a look at the shops, etc. So basically, an average hotel in a very isolated location.
