After a 2 day trip I return with some mixed feelings from the hotel Kaiserworth. First the pro's : fantastic location, easy check-in, parking lot for only 6 euro, superb breakfast, first class restaurant etc. con's: our room the 201 in the main building, the floor was not level (old building so logical) but that made the bed also stand under an angle, with the head lower then the feet, this feels strange, after a comment on this it was further negleckted by the staff. I would reccomend to put some little levellers under the feet of the bed at the head but OK. then the bathroom or was it a cupboard changed into a bathroom. The bathroom had everything, shower, sink, toilet, hairdryer. but it was too small. when sitting on the toilet your head was in the towels on the towelrack. your knees hitting the wall in front of you (ever tried wiping your a** when you can get up decently?) then the toilet seat did not fit the bowl so it broke during first evening, we comented to the staf and they replaced with the exact same size of seat, which broke second evening. Getting out of the shower there was not enough room to dry yourself, had to stand in the room for that.
All in all the hotel itself is for sure a 4* but the bathroom..... maybe 2/3* still I would reccomend however ask for a room with bigger bathroom (and a level floor!)

I loved this hotel in the middle of the sqare. I was fortunate to be given a room with full views at the front, as I requested. Thank you.
Check in was all ready and done in a second. Difrficult to describe how charming this place is... perfect place for this toy town.
Breakfast was the most impressive array I have come accross in Germany. 4 **** and impeccable. Service is very good, checking there is ample of everything available. Scramble eggs, sausages and crispy bacon adds to the feat of cold meats and cheeses, smoked salmon and different fish, breads, warm croissants, delicious.
Restaurant out on the terrace right on the square I tried a few times for either lunch or just drinks and cakes. Very tasty cooking... good quality and presentation is tops!
Couldnt think of anywhere else to stay in Goslar. This is the place.

We actually decided to stay at the Kaiserworth during a previous visit to Goslar. The Hotel's facade is just amazing, but it does not reflect what's inside. We were lucky enough to get a room overlooking the main place of Goslar, but I can't even imagine how disappointing it must me not to have such a room, because the rooms do not match the historical facade, although they are OK.
The service was what made our trip somewhat disappointing. Check-in was cold and not really friendly. We were asked right away if we would like to book a table at the hotel's restaurant. We said we would like to take some time to think about it. After a short walk we finally decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant, and went back to the reception. When asked to book a table, the unfriendly agent told us to go to the restaurant and to do it ourselves... Hey! That's their job at the reception of a 4* hotel!
Anyhow, it was also disappointing to see that, although my partner mentionned the hotel stay was my birthday's present, nothing special was foreseen. Not even a little card in the room or flowers or a bottle of wine. Nothing.
Breakfast was good average for this category.
So after all, the Kaiserworth is the best located hotel in Goslar. It's historical, yes, but the rooms don't match that. And the service is, let's face it, not decent for a 4* property. That's why we will not stay there again.

I stayed two nights in a single room. The hotel is located at the market plaza, which was just a few minutes' walk (on almost flat and straight way) from the train station. The building is historic, but very well epuipped, including a lift. The walls between rooms might not be soundproofed well, but I did not feel disturbed. Though I cannnot speak German, I had no ploblem becaquse all the staff can speak English. They were nice and kind, too. It would be nicer if shampoo and other toiletry were provided in the room.
