The hotel is very close to the railway station, but also on the fringe of the old town and pedestrian zone. Rather large, with a convention center attached. There are some fantastic modern suites in the 500-year-old tower next to the main building. We did not have one of those, but the "comfort" double room was very nice too. The room was spacious, the bathroom was too, and unusually it had large windows to the outside. The towels were a bit old, and the bathtub is not the most modern (of some kind of fake marble), but apart from that, no complains. There is a pool, small fitness room and a sauna area with 5 different saunas of various temperatures, with and without steam. The hotel is labyrinthic, and it was difficult to find the way to the pool area and back, but this is about the only complaint. The bar area is not exactly cosy, it is modern and in the entrance hall.
