We stayed one night at he Soden. Staff was very polite and extremely helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Our package included breakfast which was above average. Overall, would recommend for future visits.

We stayed there for 5 nights; a group of 4 people; arriving on June 26 through and departing on July 2, 2008.

It is a very clean small hotel. I was given a double room although I was alone (possibly because a single room was available). The room was very basic, but the bed was very comfortable and I am 6'4 (190 cm). The bathroom was OK, but nothing more. There was even a small 14" television receiver mounted on the wall by the ceiling. One important hint is, that if you wanted your towels to be changed, you needed to leave them on the floor by the time housekeeping came in the morning.

During our stay, most of the time it was quite humid. It did not help much to open the windows wider (they were partly open day and night anyway) since there was no wind outside. It would have helped to have a small fan in the room...

Internet access is free (on the 1st floor) which is nice. Breakfast was sufficient but nothing in excess of that. The French owner is quite friendly and very helpful and seems to be there all the time.

If you return to the hotel after 22:00 hours you are supposed to punch in a code on an apparatus which is to the right of the front door. That's fine, but after 22:00 hours in the evening it is dark outside and almost impossible to see, since the was no light at the entrance-side of the house.

All in all this accommodation pretty much matched the price paid.

We just arrived back from our stay at this hotel. Overall i would describe the hotel as bad. We (family) stayed there for 4 days. During that time, the sheets were not changed, the towels were never changed and were completley inadequate for a family. I understand the situation with sheets as it was the same occupants but the towel situation was simply not acceptable. The shower had mould growing in the corner. The hotel is considerably further out than advertised which was very awkward with for a family with infants. A taxi cost us 5 euro to the trainstation (approx 20 min walk away) On the upside, the man who ran the place (who seemed to be there all the time whether early morning or late night) was very helpful and gave us fantastic help and guidance.

Landing at Freidrichshafen airport, we booked to stay here for one night before continuing on to Innsbruck.

Despite paying a deposit, which they took from my account, I was contacted (by email) with only a copule of days left before our flight to say we no longer had a room.

We were advised of two other hotels in the area. However, these were both fully booked, not to mention more expensive.

I'm really appalled that we recieved a cancellation via email without
so much as a telephone call. There was no apology nor pratical help to arrange alternative accomodation. Had I not checked my email, I would have arrived in Friedrichshafen late on a Saturday evening with
nowhere to stay.

I am still yet to have my deposit refunded.

On a more positive note, I was able to arrange alternative accommodation in Lindau. Despite being much further from the airport, it was amazingly easy to get to, one quick cheap trainride from the airport - we were in our hotel room in under an hour from landing!

Lindau is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited! We stayed at the Hotel Am Holderegganpark and, if you are looking for a stopover, I'd strongly reccomend it!
