Great accomodation, good food and charme !! The best place around Friedrichshafen.

Nice Hotel in a great location, food excellent and most staff very friendly. First view of the Hotel was disappointing and the view of the Lake although beautiful is unfortunately seperated from the Hotel by a road and an ugly low level building.The room (executive suite) was grand however i would say that overall ,apart from the Dining this Hotel overstates itself in its advertising.

Positives:-
We had a huge room and bathroom, with a big balcony overlooking the road with the lido on it, with a view over the lake (ask for a room on the 3rd floor or above as you get a better view of the lake if you are higher up)
Fridge in room, with free minibar (But limited choice - beer, water etc)
Restaurant food was really good (evening) and good choice at breakfast buffet (but food quite expensive - blame the poor £ to euro exchange rate!)
Well located for meersburg which was a lovely place to stay with a very nice prom/lake front
Negatives:-
Perfectly fine hotel, but not quite 4* - but a very good 3*+
While there was parking by the hotel (under 25 spaces) it was a bit of a concern whether there would be any spaces left in busy season

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel, the last was in 2006, and even tho' we did'nt think it possible it has got better. Rather than try to describe everything positive about the hotel it would be easier to write about the negative. The only negative we can think off is that the T.V. programmes are in German. If they had satellite we might have English speaking T.V.
But who really needs T.V. when you can sit on your balcony at the end of the day with a bottle (or two) of the local wine and watch the sun go down.
