“Excellent customer service, however definitely not a four star.”

I was very impressed with the staff, extremely professional, polite and helpful. My emails before arrival were replied to within a few minutes and also my requests at reception (e.g. iron and iron board) have been accomodated immediately. The waiters at the hotel restaurant are incredibly aware and so friendly. Food is also very nice, good selection at breakfast, traditional German specialities at dinner. The only remark is that the room standard is nowhere near to a four star. The hotel is very clean, but the room furniture is that of a three star maximum. The towels are very thin, no amenities at all such as body lotion...just a poor quality multi-use liquid soap instead of a proper shower gel and shampoo shampoo. These things are expected when you pay €220 a night! Nevermind though, I had a very pleasant stay!

Room Tip: Away from main road otherwise it gets loud!!

Hotel has spots in front to park and unload. Used one of the hotels individual private garages down the street. Great spacious room, clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast with the best bacon, and champagne. Nice location near Bahnhof and across the street from lakeside attractions. Excellent stay in Friedrichshafen.

“Good option in Friedrichshafen”

We stayed here for a weekend in april and were quite happy with the hotel. The rooms are quite nice and the location is very good.
We had a very nice dinner in the hotel but the service was a bit slow. also breakfast was a bit of a free for all with not enough tables but there was a very good selection of food.
We didn't like the bar very much, this was mainly due to it being full of smoke and there were reservations on all the tables at the window which were never occupied. The barman never smiled and didn't look very happy in his work.

“Quirky, comfortable and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2008

The hotel has a good location, opposite the lakeside gardens, and a short walk from the town centre.
Our room was enormous and very comfortable. We had friends staying in another room that was even bigger.
The public areas are very old fashioned in a characterful way, entirely acceptable, rather than being neglected. There are hunting trophies in the reception, and the effect is rather like a German version of a smart country house hotel in the Scottish highlands.
The food was very good, and the service was efficient and friendly.

This hotel certainly lived up to expectations. The location is very central, within easy walking distance of shops, railway, bus and ferry stations, the public areas are nicely decorated with a welcoming bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cold food, the hot food ran out quickly and was not replaced. The bedroom was reasonably spacious and very clean withcomfortable beds.
Be aware that the chambermaid has a habit of entering the room at 0830 in the morning without knocking and can enter even if the room is locked with the key on the inside of the door. There is no security chain.
