There are some very good things about this hotel. Its location - its a 15 minute walk from the train station, is literally in front of the main bus terminal and is an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town. The breakfast buffet is better than usual, although any type of fruit would have been welcome. There is free wireless internet throughout the hotel and the tv gets CNN, along with about 20 german stations. The price (45 euro for a single) is good, given its proximity to downtown. The downside - its really more of a hostel than a hotel. I had a single with an ensuite, although the floors had group bathrooms and toilets and there is a variety of accommodations. My room was ugly and in desparate need of a renovation - beige walls with an orange stripe, a large paper ceiling fixture, a hideous green bathroom with absolutely no toiletries (even soap). Very dated, very minimal, very ugly. My room also faced the bus terminal, which meant alot of noise all night long (the window had to stay open, it was very warm). Finally, a warning - housekeeping enters without even knocking and there is no way to secure the door.
The hotel seems to cater to bicyclists and that seemed to be the major customer. If they spent some time and money fixing up the rooms, the location would be great. Airconditioning would also be a welcome plus.
