The best part was the shopping centre next door, they had everything you needed.
Bargain price for room but it was very plain. Good breakfast supplied FOC though.
Bamberg is a stunning place, but I wish I had picked somewhere closer to town. it was lucky we had a car.

Great hotel. Friendly staff; all spoke English well. If you are on a budget, this is particularly great since the hotel has a full bar, restaurant, bowling alley and more. In the building next door, there is a pharmacy, grocery store, shoe & clothing store, DHL shipping and low cost internet access. It is also walking distance to an ALDI grocery store. I would stay here again with no reservations. The only thing I would do different is stay closer to the city center.

The MainFranken Hotel in Bamberg, Germany, offered great accommodations with in-house amusement - a bowling center! The front lobby was large and extremely clean and organized. Check-in assistance was quick and friendly. The hotel facilites were also very clean and well maintained. Our room was more than adequate and comfortable for our needs. The lighting in this room was adequate but nothing to praise about. I was sure that we'd hear the 1st floor bowling center in our 3rd floor room but it was extremely quiet. I would recommend this hotel for it's close proximity to Autobahns A-70 and A-73. (Each autobahn is less than 1 km away!)
