The hotel is at a convenient location, we got a nice and quiet room. Facilities are not a big deal, but the breakfast we got was excellent, best ever in a hotel. There was an amazing variety of food, all fresh and tasty. Espresso was offered.
The downside was at the actual payment. As we were unsure we would be able to pay by card, we asked the staff at the beginning of our stay. The receptionist at the time was very helpful, we actually paid part of the bill right there using my debit card. Three days later, at the checkout, we were told to go and get cash out from some random cash machine because we are not allowed to use our card. He did not even try and was extremely unhelpful.

“Convenient, Great Restaurant”
Nice hotel, big (for Europe) rooms. At corner (“die Ecke” in German) of two busy roads. Traffic noise doesn’t bother my wife, but I had to use earplugs to sleep. The old city of Konstanz is a short, pleasant walk from the hotel. Excellent restaurant but a bit pricey. Best breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in; it was included. Small, usually full public parking area in back. We were lucky enough to get a spot, which we kept; don’t know alternatives. The staff members we encountered spoke a little English but were not fluent.
