As others have noted, the rooms are extremely spacious. Two single beds, plus two convertible day beds. The day bed was large enough for our 6'+ teenage son to be very comfortable. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, very little traffic. There is a bit of echo from other rooms (TVs, footsteps). The room has very high ceilings and very tall windows, though not much to look at. We didn't use the kitchenette. Bathroom was adequately sized with a tub.

Free breakfast included the standard continental and German fare, plus scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage.

They'll tell you that it's a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. I'd disagree. It took us 31 minutes to get to the train station (and ferry docks), walking briskly, no luggage, with both a map and knowledge of the area. Perhaps it's only 20 minutes to the northern edge of the walk-platz.

The photo of the entrance is misleading. The only way you could see that view is by standing on the roof of the building next door. And you certainly won't see that view of the entrance when you're driving trying to find the hotel. There's just a small sign at a break in the wall surrounding the hotel.

But, quibbles aside, it's an excellent hotel for families that otherwise have trouble finding family-sized rooms.

This was a quirky hotel we enjoyes staying here despite its basic facilities. The breakfasts were basic coffee toast and cold meats. The room we had was large and had basic kitchenette. the hotel rented bikes to you if required which we used everyday and love it, great way to get out and see the city and lake. The staff were friendly although some appeared not to know answers to questions we had. Great off street parking and free wireless internet.

Very spacious apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenette (although the cooking range did not work too well in our apt). Reasonably priced and standard breakfast.

Convenient to attractions and lake. Free parking. Small elevator inside the building, which I believe closes after 10pm.

I would recommend it.

Located fairly close to the Old Town, this hotel was a pleasure to stay at. A good choice of bus routes are a short walk away, although taxis rides do not cost much, as the hotel is close to most things. The room was huge! Modern, clean, airy and quiet. You can spread out to your heart's content. The lift (elevator) was small but no problem for, say, 3 normal sized people with suitcases. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good.
