We stayed at the hotel Moseltor in the small town of Traben-Trarbach on the Mosel in April 07 for one night. Double room and half board at 133 Euro.
Clean, pleasantly decorated small to medium size room. Dated bathroom, but spotless. TV, trouser press. There is no minibar but drinks can be brought up from down-stairs. Free parking on the public car park opposite the hotel.
Thoughtful service: Checking in we were informed that only twin beds were available; however, the owner immediately offered to push the beds together.
The set 3-course meal was simple but above average quality, modern German cuisine. Very nice breakfast buffet with healthy and good quality options.
There was attention to detail in decor, service and quality of food!
The small town of Traben-Trarbach is not from Bernkastel Keus and although the latter is by far prettier it is also more touristy. TT therefore makes for a good place to spend the night whilst visiting the area.
