“Dated, not service oriented”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We checked into this hotel and were given a very sparse room. There is really no place to put two suitcases let alone unpack. The rooms are dated and the amenities limited. We had booked 13 rooms for business and were unable to cancel three of them due to travel issues we had to pay for them. Two people were delayed by a night and they charged for these rooms also and when they checked in, their original rooms were not available and they were given smoking rooms. There is one outlet in the room and if you have multiple items to charge or plug in, good luck. There is no refrigerator, just an empty cabinet from one. One afternoon I was going back to the room and a gentleman was following me, it turns out they had given him the same room. He had a key and opened my door to my room, I was a bit frightened and accompanied him to the front desk-never given an apology for this. The front desk was very uninterested in anything we requested. The breakfast was fair, someone broke a glass on the counter by the juice and the waiter cleaned up the floor with a brush and then cleaned the counter with the same brush. After that I chose to skip breakfast! Ordered a salad and pasta dish from room service and it arrived with no dressing and the pasta was horrid, overcooked and cold. Again, not a service oriented hotel. We are Mercure frequent guests and there are no amenities for their program at this hotel. Internet was supposed to be included because we had so many rooms but we were charged for it at check out. Will never stay here again.

“Poor experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Having stayed at many Accor hotels, I was massively disappointed with this experience.
I had booked and paid for a 'Privilege Room' with a King size bed. When I got to the room I had a bog standard room with 2 single beds. I called reception who advised that all of the rooms were the same but some had king size beds and some had singles. I was told the manager would call me straight back. The 'Privilege Room' means you get added benefits such as free parking & WiFi access as well as free water, tea and coffee, a VIP bathroom, use of a bathrobe and a free newspaper. As there was no tea and coffee in the room or bathrobe, it was clear that this was not what I had paid for. After waiting for 10 minutes for the manager call back, I decided to go down to reception where I was eventually given a new room with a double bed. However, I did feel like I was being awkward and not made to feel that this was not a problem. The new room was acceptable but I never did get a free newspaper or the bathrobe (not that I would have used this) and I am not sure what qualifies as a VIP bathroom but this was the minimum I would expect in a bathroom. Finally, on my second night, I used the hotel restaurant and had to wait over 30 minutes in between my starter and main course. Unfortunately, the main course was partially incorrect but I wasnt prepared to wait any longer so went with this. To her credit, the waitress did apologise for this and said it was her fault. Therefore, I wouldn't have raised this is an issue had everyting else in the hotel been fine. The food was fairly average at best.

“Average but good hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

If you stay for a business trip this hotel is fine simple but good the restaurant is more then acceptable for a good evening meal for the rest very isolated only bad thing is don't stay there on hot summer conditions as the airco's in the room are really bad

Room Tip: Get a room at the parking lot side for noice reasons and on a high floor

“Good value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

This was a pleasant stop over on our journey to Austria. We had 2 rooms with the second at a discounted price - the rooms were opposite each other. The self service breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The hotel is in a commercial area but is near a shopping mall. From the outside it seems a bit bland but the inside is modern and attractive. Staff were excellent and their English much better than our German.
