“Good property”

Stayed over New Years and have to say first that we did have one of the largest, roomy units in the Hotel (rm 328). Room was very clean, bedding was fine, housekeeping staff were very friendly and accomodating ...we asked fore extra blankets and they were there immediately with big smiles. Staff in both the lounge and the restaurant were attentive and friendly and the food was fine. Security fellow was friendly and interesting.

There was one glitch... when you check in, they give you both room keys (metal not plastic) and ski locker keys. The number you might want varies and in our case we had 3 room keys and a few locker keys. They cost around $25 each if lost. At check out, there was a descrepancy and they were trying to charge us for a lost ski locker key. It all got worked out but this is my RECOMMENDATION to the manager...When people check in and you decide on the number of locker and room keys they will be issued, pull up a receipt and have people initial that they have the right number of keys on paper, and make any changes accordingly. This was stressful because of an error at the desk so this would help alleviate any mix ups?
This room was expensive but it was New Years and we booked late so all in all, reasonable value for your money.

All in all, a good stay.

Room Tip: 328 is big and has a hallway leading to a separate bedroom, murphy bed and fold out couch in living...

“Started off good but went downhill shortly after!”

We liked the location, staff were courteous but that's about it. For $250+ /night I was not impressed that our toilet was constantly running and our furnace kept going out which is the only heat in the suite aside from a baseboard heater in the bathroom. Our heat went out in the middle of the night and there were no extra blankets in the room. We had it re-lit by staff and we were told it happens all the time, so why wouldn't you fix the problem. Also ski lockers were by far worst Ive ever seen as they had only a dozen cable locks for snowboards and about atleast a hundred ski locks. Out of at all the snowboard locks, half the cables were cut probably cuz of theft. The hot tub was Luke warm and not big enough for a 100 room hotel and we also had property stolen from our vehicle in the secured parkade. When I mentioned all of these things on checkout, the only thing the agent said was " sorry about that." she didn't even offer anything to remediate such a poor stay. In my opinion I would have offered something, all in all never staying there again

“Simple - but good ski in ski out.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

The room was tiny - it wasn't that comfortable but the view was lovely. I was on my own but with another it would have made for a fairly grim holiday if we were paying over $1,000 each to stay for a week.
The benefits are that you are so close to the village, slopes etc. This is a place for those that ski themselves and drink themselves into a sleep and don't spend time in a room.
I have stayed in the great grand place across the way that has HUGE rooms and is gorgeous.
This does have a good hot tub on the balcony though.
All in all not bad if yu are Canadian - not great if you've paid £loads to come over from UK.

“decent if you get it for a special price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

if you are a budget traveller, then this place is ok. i compare it to an all-ages hostel.
the location is quiet but not very ski friendly. we saw families with young kids struggling with all their gear. you have to cross a busy road to get to the village and lifts.
the rooms are bland but clean. the beds are awful: pull-down wall beds and sofa beds! my iPhone screen is bigger than the TV. the fridge and dishes are a nice touch though, you can store leftovers.
the gym was a joke, they should just close it. same with the pool. too cold for winter, maybe it is nice in the summer. consequently the hot tub is jammed with people. i would have jumped in there with my beer at 22 yrs old but now at 40+yrs i have more concerns about hygiene.
even though the property is lame, the employees reminded you that you were at a hotel. they were all friendly and helpful.

“Comfortable and Simple”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2011

This is a very simple hotel but was sufficient for its price. The average room includes a queen size bed and dining area for four that can turn into a murphy bed. A kitchen sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, some dishes, and utensils are included. There is a pool and small hot tub. The hot tub gets crowded between 4:30pm and 6:00pm and could be upgraded. The towels in the rooms could use an upgrade as well as the bedroom sheets.
It is a dated hotel but comfortable with a good location.
The restaurant downstairs is lovely.
