I stayed here for one night after arriving at Halifax airport relatively late on my way to a business meeting. Upon arrival at YHZ I phoned the hotel and asked for the shuttle. I was given clear and precise directions as to where to wait for the shuttle and it arrived within five to six minutes. The drive to the hotel was only about three or four minutes.

Walking in to the front desk I was promptly greeted by not one, not two, but FOUR people. I'm guess that it was likely around a shift change and that was the reason for so many people working. Check-in was friendly and efficient and I was told how to find my room and where and when breakfast was served.

My room was a good size, well-equipped and clean. Everything that you would expect to be there was there. Everything was in good condition and well maintained.

Even though the hotel was only three to four minutes from the airport I didn't notice any noise from planes.

Breakfast in the a.m. had a good selection of both hot and cold items. Hard-boiled eggs and omelet "patties" were available as were bacon and sausage. The usual breads, bagels, cereals and juice and coffee were all available as was packaged oatmeal and containers of yogurt. The only fruit was apples but at least there was fruit. A good breakfast selection overall and included in the room rate.

Check out was effortless since I am a Choice Club member and the invoice was just slipped under my door.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever need to stay near Halifax airport and I would recommend it.

Being a frequent traveller, I was very upset when I saw our room. Only for we did not arrive until 10PM, we would have gone elsewhere. I asked for a different room but they said there were no other rooms available. The price was not cheap so I figured that we would get a decent room. It was small, old looking, smelly, dirty & cold. It felt like being in the basement, probably it was considered the basement. The bathroom was dirty & old & very cold--It was uncomfortable getting a shower in the cold & would not even think of getting in the tub---there was no heater or fan in the bathroom. Front counter staff were rude---no hospitality here. It was a very long distance from main desk to our room. Vending Machine did not work & no room service. Its not the only hotel near the airport.

We went for a one week vacation to DR. we were flying early morning so we booked the quality inn, it is less than 2 miles from the airport and they have a freee shuttle. the best part is if you stay one night you can park your car there for up to 2 weeks. This could cost you over 80 bucks a week at the airport, so it is definatly worth it, along with the free shuttle to and from. The rooms are nice, and coffeee is free.

Located very close to the airport. We did the park and fly and saved quite a bit of money by not paying for airport parking. The shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful
