“Nice place to stay five minutes driving from Thurso”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

We spent 20 days in Scotland, staying in ten different B&B. The general level of Scottish hospitality is very high: all the rooms was clean, all breakfasts huge and tasty, all owners nice and knowledgeable.
Valley View is no exception.
I loved the location, in a quiet little room five minutes driving from Thurso: Thurso is a small town with all the services you need, but a little bit gloomy, so I was happy to be outside instead.
The house is wonderfully decorated as the guest is a designer. Just be carefull to the breakfast room table, because is valuable and delicate.
We had a double with a private bathroom, outside the room, just opposite to the breakfast room. The house has a free wi-fi network, just remember to ask the password to the guest.
As we needed to catch the ferry to Orkey, we arranged a very early breakfast (at 7:15 am) and the guest was very nice about it.

“A really beautiful house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2010

Once we got over a minor mix up in the booking arrangements we enjoyed our B&B at valleyview very much and would recommend it to others who are visiting this part of Scotland.

“Great value in comfortable surroundings.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Only downside would be the thin walls to other rooms and at breakfast we were joined by family dog who was great but may be a shock to anyone with an allergy so hope the owners are careful in future.

Great food, comfortable and delightful hosts. I could not recommend this B & B more highly. They definately go the extra mile. Gavin

“An excellent B&B for visitors to north Scotland.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

While on a driving tour around Scotland we were only able to stay one night at this lovely home but would happily have spent longer. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us good advice on where to have our evening meal. Our room was delightful - We appreciated the free wi-fi service and we slept soundly in very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good too with wonderfully yellow scrambled eggs from the owners' hens.
