As a frequent traveler, I have very high standards with regards to accomodations, service and food.
Castel Senese provides all of those, in extremely high quality. Firstly, the location is just beautiful. you are surrounded by lushgreen hills, and the housing structures are furnished beautifully. yes it is true that everyone wears a few hats, but that is what makes the establishment such a friendly one. Before and after dinner, we socialized with other guests as well as the proprietors.... I was really nice and friendly.
We went on horseback, but there werent any dogs following us, althoughthere are big dogs on the property. They are gentle creatures, that protect the chickens and the sheep, and other animals I am sure, but they are no way invasive.
This is a place I return to every year, to eat well, sleep well, and to be immersed in the heart of Umbria. i recommend it to everyone.
