This family hotel is ideally situated just outside Villard de Lans. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and overlook the surrounding mountains and woods. The food is excellently cooked and, where possible, the ingredients are locally produced. The hotel manager has expert undestanding of the walking and cycling areas and as a consequence provides suitable suggestions and maps for his guests. The atmosphere within the hotel is calm and tranquil and a warm welcome awaits you on your arrival.

La Taiga is a family run small hotel that has a feel of a bed and breakfast. The location is beautiful with view of the mountains surrounding you. We traveled with our two sons ages 13 and 11 and they loved the area. Our host was extremely helpful with wonderful suggestions for excursions that we would not have found in a book. Breakfasts were plentiful and fresh - the best hot chocolate you'll ever have!!! Our host offers dinner service with a specialty of the region every night. Due to our daily excursions we never had a chance to have dinner there but we would have LOVED that opportunity. We loved staying in the beautiful region of Vercors.
We traveled with our sons and our room included a smaller room with a bunk bed, a queen size bed and a bathroom. We had a balcony overlooking he beautiful garden and view of the mountains. It was very clean and comfortable.
